A Class in Wonders by The Basis for Inner Peace
I would like to claim here to any Religious who feels that his church's teachings do not really meet his desire to understand a form, merciful and warm God, but is significantly afraid to see the Class due to others' claims that it's sporadic with "true" Christianity: Don't fear! I've see the gospels many times and I promise you that a Program in Miracles is completely in keeping with Jesus' teachings while he was on earth. Don't fear the fanatical defenders of exclusionist dogma - these poor people believe themselves to be the only real companies of Jesus' meaning, and the only real people worth his delights, while all the should go to hell.
A Class in Miracles reflects Jesus' correct information: unconditional passion for *all people*. While he was on earth, Jesus said to decide a tree by its fruit. So provide it a decide to try and see how the fruits that ripen in your life taste. When they taste bad, you can abandon A Course in Miracles. But if they taste as special as quarry do, and the millions of other correct seekers who have found A Class in Miracles to be nothing less than the usual heavenly value, then congratulations - and may your center often be abundantly filled up with calm, caring joy.
While the subject suggests, A Program in Wonders is a teaching device. It teaches us what's true and what is unreal, and leads people to the direct experience of our personal Internal Teacher.
The Class is arranged in three components: a text, a workbook for pupils and a manual for teachers. The Text gift suggestions the concepts main the Course. The workbook includes 365 day-to-day classes that provide students the ability to use and feel the concepts on a practical level. The teacher's information is shown in a question and solution structure, addressing normal issues a scholar might ask; in addition, it provides a clarification of terms used throughout the Course.
On How it All Started
The Program was published by Helen Schucman and Statement Thetford, two highly experienced and successful Teachers of Psychology at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. Helen was the scribe for the Program, writing down in shorthand the inner communications she received. Statement wrote what Helen wrote. It needed a total of seven decades to perform A Course in Wonders, which was initially printed in 1976 in the United States. Helen wrote extra pamphlets. Her Tune of Prayer was printed in 1977 and The Present of Lord in 1978.
